Just a short ‘hop’ from the Shepherd Neame brewery in Faversham, the Bear Inn is an historic purveyor of perfect pints
A brilliant beer house and one of the town’s most historic buildings, The Bear serves up an unrivalled experience for Faversham’s ale aficionados.
Even for non-beer drinkers though, the Bear Inn is a special spot. Quaint and traditional, it’s a pub packed with character - with centuries-old oak beams in the main bar salvaged from a ship built at the nearby boatyard.
Two further bar areas each offer cosy corners in which to relax and unwind over lunch or a pint, and there’s also a lovely patio to the front of the pub overlooking Faversham’s Guildhall and marketplace.

Excellent service, great food and very good prices. I could not find fault with this little pub restaurant. I just hope that it does not get so busy that I can't get a table.
Good pub nice traditional atmosphere, food good and reasonable pricing and excellent service. The second time we have enjoyed a Sunday roast and both times very good. We will return.
This is an old-style with some original styling and features, including lovely stained glass and hops hanging from the ceiling. Popular with locals as a regular social space. It is a pub with food, rather than a restaurant...
